Grow and export your audience

The audience system is built on one premise: a fan’s email is a loan, extended on terms. Every signup stores the exact consent wording the fan saw, addresses are encrypted at rest, and the list leaves with you — consent evidence and the full workspace archive export on every plan, the subscriber CSV from Artist — because a list you cannot leave with was never yours.

   Put the signup where fans are

   The email signup block is on release pages and bio pages by default. The consent text is editable per workspace; whatever wording a fan agrees to is snapshotted as evidence with their signup.

   Decide on double opt-in

   On by default: fans confirm by email before they count. Stricter lists deliver better and prove consent — but some fans never click the confirmation. The setting explains the trade-off in both directions and the choice is yours per workspace.

   Work the list from the Audience page

   Filter by status or by tag, tag fans — the input suggests the workspace’s existing tags so the vocabulary stays in one piece — view any fan’s consent record, suppress or delete on request. A suppression you applied by hand from this screen can be lifted again; one that came from a complaint, a bounce, or an outside request cannot, because that was the fan’s decision rather than yours. Suppression survives deletion on purpose: an address that asked to be left alone cannot be re-collected by the next signup form.

   Export — both files

   Audience → Export produces two files: the subscriber list (for your mail tool) and the consent log (the evidence of what each fan agreed to and when). Take both; the second one is what answers a complaint or an audit years later. The list includes each fan’s recorded browser language, so you know which languages your list reads before you write to it.

   These CSVs are an Artist-plan capability, and they download per member: owners and admins always can, editors receive the grant when they are invited, and analysts and viewers export only when "Allow exports" was checked on their invitation — the button explains itself when it is not available for you.

   On every plan, Free included, Settings → Privacy and data queues the compliance exports — your consent evidence, or the full workspace archive: the hourly background run produces the file, emails you when it is ready, and keeps the download link alive for seven days.
