Podcasts

One link for the show, wherever people listen.

Half your audience is on Apple Podcasts, a growing share on Spotify or YouTube, and the rest scattered across apps you have never opened. A podcast link routes each of them to theirs — and writes down which one, so you finally know where the show actually lives.

“Wherever you get your podcasts” deserves a real link

Every show says the phrase; almost none can link to it. So the bio holds a bare Spotify URL, the Apple listeners tap it anyway and land somewhere they cannot subscribe, and nobody can say which of the six places the show was promoted actually sent listeners.

A podcast link is the phrase made literal: one address that offers Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube side by side — the three are suggested automatically when you paste a show or episode URL — with any other listening app added as a plain URL. Where an app supports it, the button opens the app itself: an Apple Podcasts link opens the Podcasts app on iOS rather than a web page asking the listener to try again.

A launch page for the big episode

Most episodes need the show link. The interview you spent a year landing needs its own page: its own artwork — still or an animated loop, GIF, MP4, or WebM — its own address to hand the guest, and its own numbers, so the spike the guest’s audience causes is visible instead of smeared into the show’s totals.

Episode URLs are detected as episodes, not shows, so the two page types stay distinct without you managing the distinction.

What a show gets

  • A show link

One address for the whole show. Paste an Apple Podcasts or Spotify URL and the page is recognised and laid out; every other listening app joins it as an ordinary URL.

  • Episode pages

Episode URLs are detected separately from show URLs, so a big episode can get its own page and its own numbers without disturbing the evergreen show link.

  • A bio page

The one link for the show’s profiles: latest episode pinned first, then the socials, the merch, the Patreon. Same system as the episode pages, not a second subscription.

  • Email capture

A signup block with real consent wording stored as evidence, and an export that gives you the list. 500 listener records on the free plan, 10,000 on Artist.

  • QR codes

Free on every plan, with a studio that overlays your show art or logo and checks scannability before you print. Scan counts are reported over a rolling 90-day window.

  • Campaign URLs

From the Artist plan, one link becomes per-channel variants — the newsletter, the guest spot, the trailer swap — each with UTM fields that survive the redirect.

Own the listener relationship

Platforms rent you your audience: the subscriber list lives with them, and the recommendation algorithm decides whether your next episode is shown to the people who asked for it. An email list is the part of the audience you own outright — which is why the capture block records the exact consent wording as evidence, and why the export gives you the list rather than holding it hostage.

Which channel grew the show

Visits, destination clicks, and click-through rate, broken down by country, device, and referrer, with an hourly profile of when your audience actually shows up. Give each promo channel its own campaign URL and the guest swap, the newsletter, and the clip that travelled become comparable numbers instead of competing anecdotes. Ninety days of history on the free plan, twenty-four months on Artist. Every metric states what it counts.

What you will not see is a download count. A click on Apple Podcasts is a click; what happens inside the app belongs to your host’s dashboard, and DropRoute does not guess at it.

Questions

Does DropRoute read my RSS feed?

No. You paste show or episode URLs and DropRoute recognises them — including Apple Podcasts and Spotify episode links — but it does not ingest your feed or publish episodes for you. Your host keeps that job.

Can listeners pre-save an episode?

No. Pre-save is a music-provider workflow and DropRoute does not pretend podcast apps support it. For a launch you care about, the honest equivalent is the email block: collect listeners before the episode, write to them on the day.

Does it count downloads or listens?

No. DropRoute measures the link: visits, and which app each visitor chose. Downloads and listens are counted by your host, after the click, and no link tool can see them. Any that claims to is inventing the number.
