Comparison

Built for the campaign, not just the profile link.

A profile link answers “where can I find you”. A campaign needs to answer “where should this particular visitor go, right now, and what did that tell us”. These are the capabilities that separate the two.

Capability by capability

The columns are categories of tool rather than named products. Any named product’s capabilities change the week after a page like this is written, and a stale comparison is a false one — so this compares what a kind of tool does, and you can check it against whatever you are using today.

Where DropRoute is the weaker choice

If all you need is one page listing your profiles, a bio link is simpler and often free. Everything here is built around a release having a moment — a date, a set of destinations, an audience arriving from several places at once. If your work does not have those moments, most of this is machinery you would be carrying for nothing.

DropRoute also refuses to report things it cannot honestly measure. There is no “streams driven” figure, because a click is not a stream and no service gives us the data that would connect them. If a number like that is what you are shopping for, you will find it elsewhere — and it will not be true there either.

What to do with this

The Free plan runs a real campaign end to end: five active links, ninety days of analytics, five hundred captured fans, QR codes, and every page type except pre-release. It is a better comparison than this table.
